Don't Worry, Zoe . . . We're Almost There

We received our intra-china travel plans from our agency yesterday. It's all coming together now. Here are some of the highlights:
  • "Gotcha Day" is 9/18 at 10:00 am! Note: that's 10:00 pm on 9/17 here in the US
  • We take a Hutong tour on 9/15
  • We tour Great Wall, Forbidden City and Tian'An Men Square on 9/16
  • We visit the Liu'An Orpanage on 9/21
  • We get Zoe's passport and visit the Hefei Zoo on 9/22
  • We tour Chen's Family Temple on 9/24
  • Zoe gets a medical exam on 9/25
  • We visit the American Consulate on 9/26, then again on 9/27 to finalize the adoption
  • We depart for Hong Kong on 9/28
  • We depart for US on 9/29
  • Zoe becomes a US citizen when we land in the United States
Our guide's name is Rui, which is a male Chinese name pronounced kind of like Ray. He will be with us all the way from Beijing to Guangzhou, which will be great because we'll really get to know him.

In other good news, we received our camcorder back and . . . it works! We are still waiting on the still camera to arrive, but I'm thinking positive thoughts, and I'm sure it will be here later this week.

Hi Guys - Donna Wheeler passed on your site to us. We, too, are in the First Coast FCC group and are using Great Wall.

Can't wait to see photos of Miss Zoe after you FINALLY get to meet her!

Best wishes and CONGRATULATIONS!
Kim and Joel
