The care package is on the way!

For two weeks, we've been able to share Zoe's picture with family and friends. Now, Zoe will get her first look at us. Today, we sent her a care package that included a photo book, soft pink blanket, stuffed doll, first-day outfit, disposable camera, and a questionnaire for the nannies. We were also going to send some candy for the other kids in the orphanage, but it was just too expensive to add the extra weight. Here, Doug and Katie pose with all the stuff in the box.

The Internet is a Wonderful Thing

I love the internet. Yesterday, I was frustrated that both the camera and camcorder (both Canons) were broken and exhibiting the exact same behavior. After some online research, I discovered that the CCD image sensor used inside both cameras was defective and prone to break in high heat and humidity locations (aka - Florida). Well the good news is that Canon will fix them for free, including the shipping. Without the internet, I probably would have chucked both of them and purchased new stuff.
